His Shackles skill adds an AoE Decrease SPD component, giving him a limited form of crowd control useful for keeping teams safe during longer fights. Medicus fits best as a temporary defensive backbone while building a roster: he covers basic team durability without requiring heavy investment. He is not recommended for Arena. The moderate values of his buffs and the absence of healing mean he is outpaced fairly quickly as better Support champions become available.
